Our session is Session BP304: The Way of the Social Dragon: Ten Key Strategies for Building a Thriving Social Community in Your Organization. Monday, January 16, 03:45 PM – 04:45 PM Location: S. Hem III
So why did I decide to speak this year on top of all the work of planning and running the conference? Am I crazy?? Well, Back in October at the Leadership Alliance, Carlos asked me if I would be interested in submitting a session with him because of my passion and involvement inside and outside of IBM around the way social is transforming the way we all communicate and collaborate in both our personal and professional lives.
The topic we chose helps address one of the key issues I am hearing around social adoption inside of a business. Many companies are implementing social software solutions inside of their company, but many are also seeing some resistance to changing the way people work and moving to this new form of social collaboration. Enablement and building a strong sense of community are key. We will address this and gives some good examples of effective communities from both IBM and customers and Carlos will share some of the key functionality in the IBM offerings that enable this new way of working. I hope you can join us to learn the ways of the Social Dragon.
We welcome your input on this topic and if you have related sessions you would like us to highlight and recommend at the end of our session, just let me know. What challenges are you seeing in social adoption in your own organization or in the customers you support?
While at Lotusphere, I also wrote a guest blog post for BazaarVoice.
